November starts out chilly, the cape ponds water temp. is around 59-60 degrees. I’m finding the fish scattered but seem to bite early just after sunrise and later in the afternoon around 2-3. The grass is dying or dead, but the deep sand grass is still green but thinning. I caught the large mouth in 16 ft of water on a slow tapering point. The small mouth came in 22 ft of water off the same point. Both of them were near the edge of the side of the point that fell into deeper water. There was a lot of bait fish on this point as well. I was using a strike king rage menace, which seemed to come through the grass cleaner than my jig. |
